Support for Catholic Charities

The desire of parishioners to touch the lives of those experiencing genuine need is made real every day in the lives of those who come to Catholic Charities.  They would like you to be able to see what you’re accomplishing through Catholic Charities!  All you need to do is follow on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/catholiccharitiesmd) and/or Twitter (https://twitter.com/@CC_MD).  Not only will you learn more about the work you and Catholic Charities agencies do together to improve the lives of our brothers and sisters in need, you may discover new ways you might become more personally involved

As Catholics, service to others is an integral part of our faith. The outreach ministries of our parish, as the title implies, reach out to others to provide assistance for many people, especially those who are in need. This includes those in need of material and/or emotional support. There are ministries that reach out to those who are poor, hungry, unborn, sick, homebound, grieving, and more. There are groups working to make sure our laws and society always strive for the kind of justice found in gospel teachings.

We can all do our part, no matter how big or how small, to make the world a better place and follow Jesus' call to serve others. Each of us has been uniquely gifted by God. “What we are is God’s gift to us; what we become is our gift to God.” This is true for our parish faith community just as it is true for us as individuals.

Your support and active participation makes our parish what it is today. Please consider your gifts and talents and respond to the Spirit’s promptings. How is God asking you to exercise your baptismal call as a member of this faith community?
